Privacy
Förmej is a place to watch and share videos. We collect as little about you as we can, keep it in the EU wherever we have the choice, and never sell it or use it for ads.
Last updated: 11 October 2026
The short version
- Watching needs no account. No ads, no tracking, no analytics cookies.
- The site sets one cookie, and only when you sign in: it keeps you signed in. Without an account there are no cookies at all, so there's no cookie banner.
- With an account we keep your email address, your name and your date of birth, and you can download or delete all of it.
- Videos are stored and streamed by Mux in the United States. Everything else stays in the EU.
Who is responsible
Förmej (a working name) at formeej.com is run by [the founder's company or name, and postal address]. For anything about your data, write to [privacy contact email]. We answer within a month, as the law requires, and usually much sooner.
When you watch
- Requests to our servers. Like every website, ours sees your IP address and your browser's name when you load a page. Our hosting providers keep this in short-lived logs for security and troubleshooting [retention to confirm per provider]. We don't build profiles from it.
- Video streaming. Your browser loads the video from Mux, our video provider, so Mux sees your IP address too. Mux's viewer analytics is switched off, and the player sets no cookies.
- Player settings. The player remembers your volume and whether you muted it, in your own browser's storage. That never leaves your device.
- Error reports. When something breaks, our error tracker (Sentry, in Germany) receives technical details about the error, set up to exclude your IP address, cookies and anything else that identifies you.
Why we may do this: our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
With an account
Accounts arrive soon. When you make one, by email or with Google, we store:
- Your email address, to sign you in with a one-time code and to reach you about your account.
- Your name, and your Google profile picture if you sign in with Google, shown on your channel.
- Your date of birth. Accounts are for people aged 16 and over, and some videos are for 18 and over. We only use it for those checks and never show it to anyone. If you're under 16, no account is created and nothing is stored.
- Your signed-in sessions: when each started, the IP address and the browser, so you can see where you're signed in and sign out elsewhere. A session ends after 30 days without use, or when you sign out.
- Your Google account id, if you sign in with Google, to recognise you next time. We ask Google only for your name, email address and profile picture.
Why we may do this: to provide the account you asked for (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We keep it until you delete your account.
When you upload
Your videos, and what's in them (often your face and voice), plus their titles and settings. Mux stores and streams the videos; our database in Frankfurt keeps the titles and settings. We keep them until you delete them or your account.
Cookies
One cookie, set only when you sign in, keeps you signed in. It's strictly necessary for a service you asked for, so it needs no consent. It can't be read by other websites, and it goes away when you sign out. There are no advertising, analytics or other cookies.
